170: Chief executive must consult in performing certain functions
or “The boss must ask for help when making decisions about fire safety and disability issues.”

You could also call this:

“The head of the building department can ask a special group for advice about building rules and problems”

You can ask a group of experts called a building advisory panel for advice on important building matters. This panel can help with different things:

  1. They can tell you about new building designs and technologies. They can also advise on how these might affect building rules, solutions, and warnings about certain building products or methods.

  2. They can tell you if the current building laws are working well.

  3. They can point out building issues that aren’t covered by current laws but should be.

  4. They can give advice on any other building topic you think is important.

After you get advice from the panel, you need to think about what they’ve said. But you don’t have to do exactly what they suggest.
