272Q: Lifting of suspension of registration of MCMCB
or “Rules for bringing back a company that checks building parts after it was told to stop working”

You could also call this:

“When a company can no longer check if modular building parts are safe”

Your registration as a modular component manufacturer certification body can be automatically cancelled in two situations. First, if your accreditation is taken away as described in section 272L. Second, if your registration is suspended as per section 272P(2) and it stays suspended for more than 12 months.

There’s an exception to the 12-month rule. If your registration was suspended and you asked for the suspension to be removed within 12 months, but no decision has been made by the end of those 12 months, the time limit is extended until a decision is made.

If your registration is cancelled, the chief executive must do two things. They must tell you in writing that your registration has been cancelled and explain why. They must also remove your name from the register.
