Schedule 1: Building work for which building consent not required
or “List of building work you can do without getting a building consent”

You could also call this:

“Buildings that must be accessible for people with disabilities”

You need to make sure that certain buildings have access and facilities for people with disabilities. This applies to many different types of buildings that the public uses.

These buildings include places like airports, train stations, public toilets, banks, childcare centres, government offices, courthouses, hotels, hospitals, schools, libraries, churches, theatres, shops, restaurants, petrol stations, and car parks. It also includes factories where more than 10 people work.

The list covers almost every kind of building that you might visit or use in your daily life. This is to make sure that people with disabilities can access and use these buildings just like everyone else.
