“Rules can be made about what information needs to be shared about building products.”

You need to know that rules can be made about information for building products. These rules can say what information must be shared, who needs to share it, and when they need to share it.

The information might be about the product itself, who makes or sells it, how to use it, and any warnings about it. The rules can also say how this information should be shared and kept.

These rules can be different for different products or different people who make or sell them. They can be made for one product or a group of products.

The government can make these rules using section 402(1)(xg) of the Building Act.
