439: Transitional provision for document used in establishing compliance with building code

You could also call this:

“Rules for how old building documents can still be used to show a building follows the rules”

You need to know about a rule for documents that were used to show buildings followed the building code before this law started. If someone made or approved a document to check if buildings followed the code, and it wasn’t cancelled, it’s still okay to use. From when this law begins, you should treat that old document as if it’s a new ‘acceptable solution’ or a way to check if a building follows the rules. This means you can still use the old document to show your building is okay, even though the rules have changed.
