Building Act 2004

Regulatory responsibilities and accreditation - Responsibilities relating to modular component manufacturers - Registration of modular component manufacturers

272ZC: Revocation of registration of MCM

You could also call this:

“When a company that makes building parts can no longer be on the official list of approved makers”

Your registration as a modular component manufacturer can be automatically cancelled in two ways. First, if your certification is taken away under section 272W. Second, if your registration is suspended under section 272ZA(2) and the suspension isn’t lifted within 12 months.

There’s an exception to the 12-month rule. If your registration was suspended and you applied to have the suspension lifted within 12 months, but no decision has been made by the end of that time, the 12-month period will be extended until a decision is made.

If your registration is cancelled, the chief executive must do two things. They must tell you in writing that your registration has been cancelled and explain why. They must also remove your name from the register.
