254: Revocation of accreditation
or “When and how a building group's permission to approve building plans can be taken away”

You could also call this:

“The building boss must tell the top leader when someone is allowed or not allowed to approve building plans anymore.”

When a building consent accreditation body gives or takes away accreditation from a building consent authority, they need to tell the chief executive about it. This is important because it helps keep track of which authorities are allowed to give building consents.

The accreditation body has to tell the chief executive in a specific way. The chief executive will let them know how they want to be told. This could be by email, letter, or some other method.

The accreditation body doesn’t have much time to do this. They need to tell the chief executive within 7 days of giving or taking away the accreditation. This helps make sure the information is up to date.
