421: Restriction of compensation for technical redundancy
or “Workers don't get extra money if their job ends when the Authority closes and they get a similar or new job at the Ministry.”

You could also call this:

“Rules for hiring government workers don't apply when moving someone from a closing office to a new one.”

If you work for the Authority and your job is going away because the Authority is shutting down, you might get a new job at the Ministry. When this happens, some rules about hiring people for government jobs don’t apply. These rules are usually found in Sections 60 to 61B and 65 of the State Sector Act 1988, but they won’t be used in this special case. This makes it easier for you to move from your old job to a new one at the Ministry.
