272J: Accreditation of modular component manufacturer certification body
or “Rules for approving organisations that check companies making building parts”

You could also call this:

“Checking to make sure modular component certification bodies are still doing a good job”

The organisation that gives approval to modular component manufacturer certification bodies (MCMCBs) must check on each approved MCMCB at least once every year. They might need to do this more often if the rules say so.

When they do these checks, they want to make sure two things:

  1. The MCMCB still meets all the requirements to be approved, as listed in section 272J.
  2. There’s no reason to pause or cancel their approval, as described in section 272L.

When doing these checks, the organisation must:

  1. Think about any special things mentioned in the rules, including any extra rules for the modular component manufacturer scheme.
  2. Follow any other instructions set out in the rules, including any extra rules for the modular component manufacturer scheme.

The organisation doing the check might ask the MCMCB to pay a fee for the check, if there’s a set fee for this.
