Building Act 2004

Regulation of building practitioners - Licensing and disciplining of building practitioners - Discipline

320: Payment and application of charges, fines, and other money

You could also call this:

“This part explains how the money you owe for building work is collected and paid back.”

When you have to pay charges, fines, or other money under this part of the law, you need to pay them to the Registrar. The Registrar can get this money from you as if it were a debt you owe, even if you are no longer a licensed building practitioner.

It’s important to know that when this section talks about fines, it doesn’t mean fines for breaking other parts of this law. Those are different and aren’t covered by this rule.
