Building Act 2004

Regulation of building practitioners - Licensing and disciplining of building practitioners - Powers and procedure of Board on disciplinary matters

321: Board must act independently

You could also call this:

“The group making decisions must work on its own without outside help or influence.”

When the Board is doing its job under this part of the law, it must work on its own without outside influence. This means the Board makes decisions by itself.

The Registrar has to make sure that any staff helping the Board haven’t been involved in the Registrar’s own work under this part of the law. This keeps the Board’s work separate from the Registrar’s work.
