133AMC: Extension of qualifying deadlines by Order in Council

The Governor-General can extend deadlines for fixing earthquake-prone buildings by Order in Council. You can find more information about this in section 402. The Minister must recommend this extension before the deadline expires.

133AMCExtension of qualifying deadlines by Order in Council

  1. The Governor-General may, by Order in Council made under section 402 on the recommendation of the Minister, extend all of the deadlines under both sections 133AMA and 133AMB before expiry of the deadline to be extended.

  2. The deadlines under sections 133AMA and 133AMB may be extended once only by a period not exceeding 2 years.

  3. This section is repealed on 2 April 2028.
