272X: Notification to chief executive by registered MCMCB
or “A company that checks builders of prefab houses must tell the government when they approve, stop, or cancel a builder's permission to work.”

You could also call this:

“The boss can sign up people who make building parts if they follow the rules and pay”

If you want to be registered as a modular component manufacturer (MCM), you need to apply to the chief executive. You’ll have to pay a fee if there is one. The chief executive can register you if you meet these conditions:

You are a certified MCM.

You can cover any legal issues that might come up because of the parts you make and design (if you do design them).

You follow any other rules for registration.

If you get registered, you can only make and design (if allowed) the specific kinds of parts that you’re certified for. This is explained in section 272U.

When you apply, you need to:

Write your application.

Follow any special ways of applying that have been set.

Include any information that’s required.

After you apply, the chief executive will decide if you can be registered. They will tell you their decision in writing. If they say no, they’ll explain why.
